Dr Kristian Frantzen was born and raised in Richmond, British Columbia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a speciality in Sport Management, Recreation and Health Education from the University of Victoria. Dr Frantzen is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where he obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree.
Dr Frantzen is a former professional rugby player, having competed at the varsity, national and international levels. He has provided chiropractic and medical support for the BC Lions, BC Wheelchair Basketball, BC Wrestling, UBC varsity rowing, the Checkmat Vancouver MMA fight team, the Canada men’s National Field Hockey Team and the Canadian women’s National Volleyball Team. Dr Frantzen has over 10 years experience as a personal fitness trainer and has collaborated with the Vancouver Olympic Committee (VANOC) and the International Olympic Committee with respect to public health and wellness.
Dr Frantzen worked with the Richmond Olympic Oval, post-2010 Olympics, in developing their youth elite performance programs. Offering a diverse clinical approach, Dr Frantzen provides chiropractic care to athletes and non-athletes alike.
Combining chiropractic care, exercise therapy, sport rehabilitation, functional assessment and training, Dr Frantzen’s focus is on health maintenance/optimization, rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy, joint manipulations and joint mobilizations. Dr Frantzen is level a 3 certified NeuroKinetic Therapy® provider, and level 1 certified by the Titleist Performance Institute. He is also a provider of Graston Technique®, Active Release Techniques®, and Integrative Therapeutics.
