Professor, and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Nicola is a Professor and a Consultant Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University of Salerno School of Medicine and Surgery, in Salerno, Italy.
His subspecialty interests include trauma, sports surgery, knee, foot and ankle surgery, and the management of degenerative joint disease in younger patients. His main focus lies in minimally invasive techniques in the management of common trauma and orthopaedic ailments. Dr. Nicola’s has had key surgical and professorial posts in the United Kingdom, Italy and Hong Kong and has lectured in Sports Biomechanics, Sports Medicine, Sports Traumatology, and Orthopaedics to under- and post-graduate medical students.
He is on the editorial boards of numerous surgical publications and medical journals dedicated to Sports Science and Medicine and Orthopaedics and has published books and various significant research papers. He actively participates in international Sports and Surgical symposiums as a speaker.
As a former athlete, he has a strong interest in sports and martial arts with a black belt in judo, a black belt in sambo wrestling, and an orange belt in Shotokan karate.
