Dubai Healthcare City Best Practice Conference 2018, held under the patronage of the Chairperson of Dubai Healthcare City Authority, HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Leading UAE healthcare organizations presented regionally-relevant best practice models towards advancing a culture of safety at the first Dubai Healthcare City Best Practice Conference on Sunday, November 18, 2018, which was held in partnership with the global Patient Safety Movement Foundation
Ms.Kholoud was selected as one of the keynote speakers to share insights and information about Emirates Integra Medical and Surgery Centre’s unique Patient Registry system that helps establish high quality evidence-based practice within the limitation of a rapidly-evolving area. While the platform provides accurate and comprehensive data, it also serves as a focused platform for research and publications, in addition to providing real-world feedback on safety and efficacy.
At Emirates Integra Medical and Surgery Centre, Patient Registry is used to a large extent. We have more than 450 patients registered, and their treatments are actively followed. While Patient Registry is a common system, at Emirates Integra Medical and Surgery Centre, we adopt a full proven best practice approach and use it for data collection and analysis of an existing program which is customized for our clinical needs. The registry utilizes an evidence-based scientific practice which has proved with time and results to be the best practice, making it a unique model of patient information too,” said Kholoud Hafsi, Research assistant and Patient Educator at Emirates Integra Medical and Surgery Centre, who was addressing healthcare professionals on best practices in healthcare at Dubai Healthcare City Best Practice Conference.
