Swelling is the body’s natural reaction of the body to an injury. Sometimes, though, the body goes overboard, and the inflammatory response is excessive and can actually begin to cause more damage than good. If not treated appropriately, the swelling can become chronic, or long term. Chronic swelling leads to tissues becoming more rigid and sometimes limits range of motion.

Neeltje Vercruyssen is qualified as a master in rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy in 2011 from Ghent University, Belgium. She recently relocated to Dubai, from Belgium where she worked for more than five years in hospitals and private practices in Belgium.
She is specialized in treating musculoskeletal conditions with a strong focus on exercise specific rehabilitation and pre/post-operative treatment.
She also attended the Dr. Vodder School International in Belgium in 2013 where she specialized in manual lymph drainage for the treatment of edema. With her specialization in manual lymph drainage she mainly treated patients diagnosed with breast cancer related edema. In 2014 she completed a course in psychomotor training for children, with the focus on writing training, coordination and musculoskeletal afflictions with children.
